Volunteering

At Asahi, we want to be the enablers of meaningful human connection because togetherness is powerful. Together we can change things for the better - for the planet, people and for communities.

We can enable meaningful human connection in many different ways - for example, through our relationships with our customers and the key role which they play in their local communities, or by supporting charities and campaigns who look after our sector.

Volunteering is a great asset to society, and one of the best ways in which colleagues can make a direct contribution to the Planet and People goals of our Better Future strategy. Just as importantly, volunteering can make a difference by helping people and communities to re-connect.

Volunteering is also a great opportunity for personal and professional development, offering experiences outside of our day-to-day roles, supporting team-building and creating collaboration across our industry.

The Asahi Group has therefore set a global goal of supporting all colleagues to take part in at least one day of volunteering every year, within our normal working time.

At Asahi UK, colleagues have taken part in various volunteering activities, including beach cleans, homeless shelter makeovers and helping at food shelters. We partner with local charities, like The Community Matters Partnership (CMP), who organise group volunteering days with local businesses.
